After a very busy last few weeks, we finally have some time to look back at what turned out to be a great year for us. We saw the company grow, upgraded products and we have developed new products that made our hearts jump a little. Some of those developments are now ready for production. 2019 is looking to be an even better year.
In 2018 we have invested a lot in the development of new products. One of those products will definitely brighten 2019, not just for us, but especially for our clients: An explosion-safe, lightweight, portable LED light that is not only as bright as traditional working lights, but will last throughout the day. Where most portable lights will only work for a couple of hours, this new LED light will run up to 8 hours, while all this time staying bright, before it needs to be recharged. We developed an ingenious lightweight, high energy battery pack to achieve this. Most important, it can be safely used in Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous environments.
Development and testing
2018 was the year of developing and testing this new light. We have created working prototypes and everything is looking good. Now we are waiting for the finalization of the ATEX certification by the Notified Body. We expect to finish that process in the coming weeks. Our team is ready for that and ready for production.
But this is not the only thing we have done in 2018, of course. We also have been working on a lot of upgrades of our existing products, both on the aesthetic side, as well as on the technological side. Our motion detection and dimmer switches will become available in a stainless steel version as well. And our new signal tower will be certified to operate in Zone 1 environments.
All in all, 2018 has been an exiting year for us, where we have invested a lot in development. With the new year we can finally show that off, with a range of new products and upgrades. Of course we will keep you up-to-date of all the new things that are coming. In the meantime, from the entire Artidor team, we wish you all the best for 2019.
